Palm Coast grew fast after 2000, and many of the air conditioners installed in those years are reaching the repair-or-replace stage. We help you make that call with real measurements, on a scheduled visit.
Quick facts
Local conditions
Palm Coast began in 1969 as an ITT Community Development Corporation project, with a welcome center and model homes opening in 1970 and a plan for about 48,000 home sites. ITT contractors dug more than 70 miles of fresh and saltwater canals, and the city was not incorporated until the last day of 1999.
Growth came in a rush after that: the population went from about 32,700 in 2000 to about 89,300 in 2020. That means a big share of houses, and the systems in them, date from the 2000s and 2010s, and the earliest of that equipment is old enough that repair costs deserve a hard look.
Homes along the saltwater canals and toward the Intracoastal Waterway on the city’s eastern edge also deal with salt in the air. On those units we look closely at the outdoor coil before quoting any repair that depends on that coil holding up. A gentle hose rinse a few times each summer helps slow the corrosion.
Repair or replace
Before recommending a new system, we weigh:
You get both options in a written quote, with the readings that support them. Financing is available through Synchrony, GreenSky, Wisetack or your credit union, and seniors, military and first responders get 10 percent off residential work.
Warning signs worth a call: bills rising summer over summer, a system running nearly nonstop on ordinary days, ice on the refrigerant lines, or the same capacitor or contactor failing twice. If your boom-era system is still running well, yearly maintenance with refrigerant readings and a capacitor test is the cheapest way to stretch it.
Buying a Palm Coast home? A real-estate HVAC inspection before closing tells you how old the system is and how it measures up.

Straight answers
It depends on the system’s age, refrigerant type, coil condition and the cost of the repair. We measure the system and quote both options in writing so you can compare.
Yes, on both sides of I-95. Visits are set on the calendar when you call or book online.
Yes. Seniors qualify for 10 percent off residential repairs and installs, as do military members and first responders.
It can. Salt in the air corrodes the outdoor coil and cabinet over time, so those units deserve a closer coil inspection during maintenance.
