Langston’sHeating & Air

Why Northeast Florida homeowners call Langston’s

You get the owner

Not a dispatcher, not a rotating crew. The person who diagnoses it is the person accountable for it.

Price before the work

Flat-rate repair pricing approved by you before a single part comes off the truck.

Licensed & insured in Florida

Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor CMC1251311, EPA 608 Universal certified, insured on every job.

Local, across 8 counties

Jacksonville-based, covering eight Northeast Florida counties — not a franchise routing your call out of state.

Sound familiar?

If any of this is happening, it is worth a call

You do not need to know what failed. Describing the symptom is enough to get a real answer on the phone.

  • Air blows but never gets cold
  • System runs constantly and the house never catches up
  • Short cycling — on for two minutes, off for two minutes
  • Water pooling near the air handler or a ceiling stain below it
  • Breaker trips whenever the condenser kicks on
  • Grinding, screeching, or a hard electrical hum outside
  • Ice on the copper line or the indoor coil
  • Power bill jumped with no change in how you run the thermostat

What the visit includes

The part most quotes leave out: what you actually get

Four things that separate a proper job from a parts swap. All four happen on every call.

1

A real diagnosis, not a guess

Static pressure, superheat and subcool, amp draw, capacitor values, coil condition. The failure gets identified before a part gets recommended.

2

The price before the repair

You get a flat-rate number and a plain-English explanation of what failed and why. Nothing gets replaced until you say yes.

3

Repair-versus-replace, told straight

If a repair buys you five more seasons, that is what you will hear. If you are about to spend real money on a system that is done, you will hear that too.

4

The same person, start to finish

The tech who diagnoses it is the owner. No handoff to a second crew, no upsell script from a manager you never meet.

Questions

AC Repair, answered plainly

How fast can someone get here?

Most repair calls in Jacksonville, Westside, and Orange Park are handled same day or next morning. Palm Coast, St. Augustine, and Live Oak are usually scheduled within 24–48 hours. Call and you will get a real window, not a twelve-hour block.

Do I pay a diagnostic fee?

There is a flat diagnostic charge for the visit, quoted to you on the phone before anyone is dispatched. It is applied toward the repair if you move forward the same day.

My AC is 14 years old. Repair it or replace it?

It depends on the failure, not the age. A capacitor on a 14-year-old system is worth fixing. A compressor or a leaking evaporator coil on that same system usually is not. You will get the math on both paths and pick from there.

Do you work on brands you did not install?

Yes. Carrier, Trane, Rheem, Goodman, Lennox, American Standard, York, Bryant, Amana — residential and light commercial equipment across the board.

What customers say

The reviews that matter are the ones about what actually got fixed

Not stock photos and slogans — specific jobs, specific outcomes, from homeowners and property managers across Northeast Florida.
